My dear Ma has passed away.
January 18, 1935-June 14, 2025
I am the fifth of her six sequential daughters, she had two sons, a flock of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
One of my earliest memories is one of wonder: she had painted an apple tree on the wall by the kitchen table, and every apple bore the name of someone i knew.

Dear Joanne,
ReplyDeletePlease accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your beloved Ma. Your words paint such a vivid and tender portrait of her ... a woman of creativity, deep love, and enduring presence. The memory of the apple tree she painted, each fruit carrying the name of a loved one, is both touching and timeless.
Having lost both my parents in recent years, I know the quiet ache that accompanies such a loss. And yet, we carry them always ... in our hearts, our memories, and the countless ways they’ve shaped who we are.
Wishing you and your family strength, peace, and comfort in the days to come.
With much love and heartfelt sympathy,
Katy
Thanks so much, Katy
